Do you think this would work for 2 plants for a makeshift carbon scrubber?

Hi,well first off let me say ,i am flat broke at the moment ,i can pay for the electricty but thats all i can afford towards my grow.My problem is i am about to go into flowering with these 2 lovely ladies and they stink a good bit already.They are in an enclosed closet that isn't getting vented ,except for me opening the closet up to gaze at them a few times a day...they're doing really well so i'm not considering this a problem ..but i am worried about the smell consuming my whole house later on in the flowering cycle and i can't afford a scrubber...so i had an idea ,i would like you to shoot me down in flames or prefferably say "yeh that might work for a few plants"

I have a pretty new hepa air purifier with an activated carbon filter in it its not like the tubes you see in grow ops but like a sheet , would it work if i duct taped that filter on to the front of my ocillating fan within the closet? At the moment the purifer doesn't kill the smell ,but i recon that is because the fan in it is so weak...what you think?
