Does anyone have experience renting a warehouse in San Diego?

I was thinking about renting a warehouse in San Diego to expand my grow. Does anyone know what to look for or have any experience with this sort of thing?

These are some things that I think I should look for:
  • sufficient power (not sure of how many amps I need)
  • low key location
  • roll up garage door to bring SUV into warehouse to load and unload cargo
  • good water supply/drainage

Thanks in advance for your help and I know a lot of this isn't San Diego specific but I thought I would ask anyway.

I've searched for them, leased them, and set up grow ops in them. You should get to know me.

There are many rentals like you want all around San Diego, but to keep the heat issues to a minimum, I prefer to stay as close to the coast as possible. The farther inland you are, the more air conditioning you will need.

Yes it does sound like I should get to know you. I am with you on staying close to coast but what else should I be looking for?

I'm trying to do the same and have been looking all over what are u planning on running multiple rooms or just one huge flower room and veg somewhere else?

I am still in the infancy of planning this out but I would definitely have multiple rooms in order to have a semi-perpetual harvest. I would like to get a harvest a month and I can do this with either 3 equal sized rooms or 1 medium veg room and 1 big flower room. I am open to suggestions, especially if you have experience.

Yea me and my buddy were planning on 4 lights with 9 plants in soil each 2 weeks ahead of flower so hopefully 9 ounces every 2 weeks then have a 8 x 8 tent vegging stuff in the corner I just find 2 weeks is about the perfect time between harvest

2 weeks would be cool if I didn't have a full time job. I think once a month will be the right interval for me now but maybe a 2 week interval in the future.

Yeah forshur, I saw that you did those dwc buckets I had one inside a cab the drip recirculating one and I put two air stones in there too and it outgrew my light also haha so I put it outside had like 5 more weeks to flower, would you do hydro in the warehouse.? I would much rather do that like 4 x 8 flood tabeles harvest a table every 2 weeks ha

I am so impressed with the power of the undercurrent DWC setup that I am planning on using that in the warehouse and everywhere else that yield is important. For my experiments I may go with flood and drain but it doesn't seem to match up with undercurrent DWC.

I would like to have multiple DWC setups so I can custom tailor each to the strain's nutrient needs.

Yea sounds like a good idea how maney of those buckets were u doing under a light and were u using 600 or a 1000 watter? What are your yields like also with the undercurrent dwc

I do 4 plants under a 1000 watt light and last time I yielded 22 ounces, this time I expect around 32 ounces.

Damn dude that's really good seems like you have it really dialed in that makes me just want to do that and harvest 2 lights 8 plants a month were u using co2?

Yup, CO2 and House an Garden nutrients. I haven't even gotten it dialed in yet. This is my second grow in this setup so I have some more fine tuning to do, like get a bigger hood to provide a wider light footprint. I am pretty happy with the results so far but know I can do better.

For larger setups NFT is the way to go, GH Lucas all day.

And how do you guys get around the yearly fire inspections?
Thinking about doing the same thing and the first thing I thought of was the fire department inspections Anyone know if they only check businesses don't see why they would check storage warehouses ?

seems like unnecessary rental space for a small grow...when i think warehouse i think minimum 10 lights not 2-4

Can you help me find a warehouse for a 10 light grow around sd?

Any luck yet on this Berkman858? I'm looking to do the same type of thing since my chick wont let me grow in the house.. lol.. If this thing goes legal in November ballet warehouse space in California is going to Sky rocket!!!
