Hey guyz does anyone know whats going on here, as you can see a new set of leaves have popped up from the soil of the same plant. The soil isn't contaminated i'm sure its from the root, but is this a good thing or a bad thing??? i hope the pros are on to answer these questions!

I see this a lot. Just pick it out and get rid of it. It's probably just another stray weed seed that sprouted.

Just a common weed seed. Nothing to do with your roots. Happens sometimes they can be carried in on your clothing, hands ,hair or just air borne.

I know this sounds stupid but what do guyz mean by "weed seed"? Just some random seed?

Correct! It is almost impossible for that to be from the same plant in the pot!(not a chance it is from the roots) Just a stray seedling. Do you re-use your soil?

Re-Using soil is okay! Mix in new materials like Bone meal, kelp, Azomite, Coffee and so on.. Let sit and keep the microbes alive.

In fact I have 12 year old soil in my main planter box. Have hot composted it 4 or 5 times in it's life.

Started with raw materials I did.

But yeah that is some different plant by the looks of the leaves.

I had dandelions start in two of my 1 gallon pots so you know they floated to and into the soil barrel.

it could be a root clone if you put stakes in that cut the roots, i have had that happen on a couple of plants, but they never grew out of the soil, they were always in the soil, and i only found them when i harvested
