Does Marijuana Effect Pain?

Does marijuana ease or effect pain, in that does it alleviate it in any way?

Or does it just intensify it?

Does it depend on strain?

Many chronic pain sufferers find benefits from cannabis that can't be achieved with DRUGS.

whenever i get a migraine, which i get a lot, ill smoke a bunch of bowls to get really high, and i can sense the migraine is still there, but i can ignore it, and it doesn't really hurt. i can just do my daily activities knowing there's a lil headache back there. plus i don't worry about side effects, since herb's side effects are so damn good.

marijuana will take you away from your pain you wont even think about the pain (of course if the pain was so severe marijuana may not be able to do this)
