Does my growth look stunted/slow? 1 week old

The brownings been there for a few days but hasnt gotten any worse. Not sure whats causing it. When does growth usually pick up in speed? This is my first non auto grow.

New seedlings generally spend most of their energy putting out roots, it'll grow fast soon, what kind of soil is that? could be a sign of early nute burn, just my opinion, won't know 'till have more info.

watch the pH in that 'soil'.. a LOT of bark in it can sometimes mean it's pretty acidic...
what kind is it?
