Does this snap/break look like it will recover ok? I put some cloning gel on the torn area and had it supported with a zip tie directly after the break occurred. Took off the zip tie today and it hasnt healed completely, as you can see. this is on a plant that's day 31 of flower.

Looks fine, iv had this happen many times with larger plants that I don't use a trellis on..u can use duct tape to try and stabilize it a while it heals

yeah she'll be right so long as you can manage to keep at least the bottom part of the branch attached to the main stalk but it really doesn't look bad

Hey Maphyr, hope you don't mind me butting into your thread. I have a question, suggestion, as I just accidentally topped one of my plants. Have you guys ever used New Skin Liquid Bandage to repair snapped branches/stalks? Just wondering if it is toxic to plants?

I've never used it. I don't know if it's toxic or not.

I had it supported but took the support off thinking it was OK, everyone in this thread told me it was OK and not a real break.

I think it's too late for this branch, it looks really bad, the picture is bad - blurry as hell. the stalk is all swollen around where the break is... I'll try to get better pictures.

Looks OK.. as long as the branch hasn't wilted, it should be fine.

I wouldn't put rooting gel on breaks.. you want it to heal, not grow roots. ;)

The plant will mobilise its own defences to heal the break. There's no need to do anything else to it except get it as tight as you can and support it while it heals.
I've used electrical tape to bind and support breaks.. works fine.

Well shit. I've done put cloning gel on it already.

Here's some better images.

These were taken, just a few minutes ago, before I put a zip tie back on her to support.

After I put some cloning gel and added a zip tie for support.

Hopefully it recovers, I woulda done this sooner but I just noticed today around the area looked swollen and discolored.

Oh well it's my first plant, a guinea pig, poor thing. Necessary though to learn.
