Hey all, just been lurking for a while, thought I would post my grow. Haven't grown in 10 years or so. This is a legal grow. (my first)

I have 6 of the doc's iranian g13, and 6 seeds out of a bag of chronic I got. They were the only 6 seeds out of 2 ounces so Im guessing ti was a hermie. 11 vegged for 3 weeks been flowering for 2, again, all plants are 5 weeks old total except for one that is 10 days old. I'm going to flower it from seed to see what its all about.. I'm pretty happy with the progress so far. The i/g13 is a fast growing plant. Thick stalk, lots of branches. And get this.... The plants have buds on them after switching lights 10 days ago. Nerver grew a strain like this. I even have one mutant. Has all fucked up leaves, but is producing buds much quicker than the rest. The other 6 bag seeds are just starting to show sex. All females too.

I am running 1 1000w air cooled hps and a 4 foot - t5 to cover the plants that can't fit in the light footprint. 12 might be an overkill. Fox farm nutes at little under 1/2 strength, and roots organic soil.

I did 1 IG13 a couple years ago and then gave the clone to a friend who ran it outdoors and although he never weighed it, i would say it was a pound at least. Ive let patients sample all of my strains and 1 of them loves the IG13 and cant stop talking about it.
It wasnt my favorite but I dont think the 1 seed I got was the best representative of the plant as far as taste goes.
 
Plants are budding at 17 days of 12/12. They are also stretching quite a bit. The smell is getting more powerful. No trichs at all yet. They are much more mature than the bag seed that is only showing pre flowers. The seed that started 17 days ago and went straight to 12/12 is showing small buds also. The mutant is much greener, shorter and stockier than the others that all look to be the same pheno.

Update - 24 days at 12/12. Buds are putting on weight. Smell is getting stronger. Small amounts of triches are starting to form. I'm thinking about throwing out my bag seed plants. Not even worth sharing....

You'll notice the mutation is still the odd ball (pic 5). And the one plant started 24 days ago from seed (pic 6) is starting to catch up in height, and slowing growing buds, but no side branches at all.

From the hits and replies I see there is not much interest for the Doc, or the strain? Or just a newbie (to the forum anyway) grow?

so I've heard. It's too bad I can't do an outdoor grow. The only thing that worries me is the quality. Every review I've read talks about the poor taste with mediocre pot. I guess only time will tell.
 
Solid looking plants kgp. Need something for scale with those pics though. beauty plants. Will be watching.

I have some IG13 going outdoors at around 48 outdoor. Many different phenos as far as my experience goes. About 4 or 5 ones a trifoliate hard to say for sure. The common pheno that most people seem to get alot of as the op has grows huge fast as you can see.

Anyone have any info about this outdoors whats you experience with flowering times. Mine haven't flowered yet. You said about a mid august finish so Im thinking you vegged indoor for a bit then put out around the solstice and they triggered? Trying to equate this with my grow. 2 of the will be done around the same as yours though they are small and seem to carry more of the ruderalis in them but its not the common pheno so assumed you didn't get a whole bunch of these early ones I have .
 
The Iranian auto must be an extreme light sensitive strain? Assumed it had some ruderalis in it as the name implies. The really early (July 10) flowering on a few of my plants could be attributed to that then I suppose.
 
Right, Im saying if it has no ruderalis then it must be a very light sensitive strain (the IAF) . This trait is more pronounced in the shortest phenos of the IG13. That plus the implication of naming it Iranian auto led me to believe the IG13 had some in it aswell. All I was saying. Just curious as to yours and others experiences with it outdoor in terms of flowering times and the various phenotypes expressed.
 
I grew both last year outdoors. Iranian Auto was done first week of Aug. Iranian g13 was done 2 weeks later. Auto averaged a couple oz. Iranian g13 double that. I know if I ran them again I could do better with a longer veg before putting them out, especially the IAF. I would say these are not cash cropper strains but rather good for getting some good plants off early or having a staggered harvest
 
Approaching 55 days of 12/12. Most of the pistols are red. Trichs are all milky. The smell is changing into a more sour fuel odor. I'm just waiting for the calyxes to start swelling. The bag seed is catching up. The bag seed has double the trichomes and double the smell of the g13. Even the bag seed had a bit of nute burn I still think it will be better smoke than the ig13. So far I am totally unimpressed. Actually thinking I wasted my money and more important my time. Unless this is going to do a 180 by the time it is harvested and cured, I would not recommend this strain at all. Yield will be a little above average. Smell is definitely below. the buds are also very airy. Quite a disappointment with the price tag.

I will come back for a.smoke report when it is ready to burn.
