In this thread I welcome contributions from anyone who has constructive advice and suggestions, anyone who just wants to just hang out and watch the progress and especially those who are growing the same strains. If you are growing a c99 or Syrup, pix and progress reports are most welcome in this thread. The more grow info the more useful it will be.
Please be civil and courteous.
Thank you.
More details:
C99 fems
BL regular
Syrup autoflower fem
Soil:
Black gold seedling starter
FFOF with azomite & mycorrhazae (sp?)
Subcool's super soil
Pots are Superoots Airpots. I plan multiple transplants on this grow. Final size will be 12.5L abuot 3gal
Nutes: FloraNova Grow & Bloom. Liquid Karma, Superthrive, AN Tarantula/Piranha/Voodoo (they are meant to be used as a combo ) & Cal Mag
Now that I have my veg closet set up, my 600W HPS cab will be dedicated to flowering. I am hoping to switch to vertical sometime during this grow
Here is a c99 about 5 weeks old with a few days under 12/12. She's been topped and LSTed to grow 4 main colas. This is the first sativa dom that I have grown so I am not sure what she's going to do from here. But she is looking good. The pot size is 3L
Another C99 not doing so good. She struggled with severe claw leaf earlier. Now she is all yellow and sickly. She has not yet shown sex. I am tempted to give her some N but the yellowness is too uniform and doesn't look like typical N def. I flushed her heavily for the claw leaf, so maybe that leached out all the nutes? But she is not drinking much. The pot remains heavy for days. This one has been struggling since she was a seedling and I'm inclined to think that at this point she is just too badly stressed. I'll keep her until someone needs the spot in the cab. Pot size 3L.
Here is a clone from the healthy C99 just planted from the bubble cloner a couple of days ago. She is doing great! I'm going to top her and put her in the flower cab in a about a week. Since I didnt include any scale info she looks the same size as her sister but thats a 1L pot not 3L for the clone
Seedlings: 2 Big Laughing on the left. Syrup on the right. The BL seedling front left is a twin!
The empty spot is a BL seedling that didn't make it. She germed but her cotyledons were severely stunted and no wider than the stem when they unfolded from the seed. I pulled her today even though she was still struggling and put a new seed in the pot. Yeah it's $12.50 a seed but I'm done screwing around with struggling plants.
To tell the truth I am a bit disappointed in the Doc's gear. For the price I expected better.
One C99 never grew well.
One BL germed but was defective
One BL germed but produced twins which is cute but undesirable since neither seedling is as strong as it would be if there were only one.
Could be the C99 is my fault but the other one was handled the same way and is doing great!
One thing I expect from a high quality breeder is stability. I only grow one or two plants from a strain and I want to know what I am getting. I can live with a strain that has a couple of main phenos if they are both good but this crap is not what I expected.
Please be civil and courteous.
Thank you.
