  • Grow space: 240x120x200cm DR240W Grow tent
    Lights : x3 600wat HPS
Maxibright Compact Ballast Dutch Barn reflectors

What sorts of heat will that produce, will that light set up be ok in that space?
    Estimated Yields?

    Any Advice is appreciated thanks.

OK, in order to really help you were going to need some more details regarding your setup and intentions IE: What strain, What medium, What nutes, What ventilation (Fans), Are you on a budget, Are you growing for yield, potency, just for personal or just for fun?

First off please understand that I'm no expert by any means, however I think I can help you a little, OK so 3 x 600W HPS lights are going to produce a LOT of heat, unless the hoods are air cooled and you have ducting and a decent inline fan, if that's the case then most of the heat produced by the lights will be vented right out of the tent, however since your using Dutch Barn reflectors that aren't sealed you'd better have good ventilation, intake at the bottom and exhaust at the top. Your going to NEED a good inline fan, at least a 600CFM, mounted on a vent at the top pulling air out and a fan at the bottom of the tent blowing the hot air up towards the inline/exhaust fan and out the tent. For anyone using open non-air cooled hoods I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using supplemental co2, with good co2 supplementation and the right strain your grow can handle temps in the high 80's and Ive even heard in the 90's, how do you think plants survive outdoors when its 105 or hotter in the summer? A co2 tank with regulator is the best (but most expen$ive) option however there are other cheaper options, you can pick up a co2 bag for around $25 at your local hydro shop (Exhale is the brand my LHS carries) or you can research the DIY co2 threads here. IF you really want to produce some killer skunk bud may I make a suggestion, I don't know if you've heard of ceramic metal halide but if I were you I would sell one of your 600W ballasts and get a 400W HPS ballast and a 400W Philips MasterColor Ceramic Metal Halide Retro White bulb, these bulbs are supposedly the best grow lights on the market, check out this review: (---->CLICK HERE<----). I'm about to build a small grow box for my closet and I'll be using a 400W Philips CMH + 90W LED. Growers who have used a 400W CMH with a 600W HPS report INCREDIBLE results, super dense, extremely resinous, trichome covered colas that look like they were grow outdoors but MORE POTENT! Check out the spectrum on these bad boys compared to HPS, they produce a spectrum like the summer sun:

This is the best place Ive found to order them, they are the only retailer Ive found that pre-burns the bulbs to ensure proper functionality as there is a high initial failure rate, if you buy from them your guaranteed a working bulb: (---->CLICK HERE<----)
I can guarantee that if you do decide to swap one of your 600W HPS with a 400W Philips CMH YOU WON'T BE SORRY! In fact I bet you'd produce better shit than anybody you know, unless there using CMH also, lol.
OK, so I hope I helped you here and if you can post some more details about your setup and intentions I'm sure others will make suggestions and share opinions also. Good luck and keep em green.

Hey dude, I have ducting and a 5inch fan for intake and a 6 inch for out take. Thanks for the tip about the CO2, that bulb also looks nice but I can't change the lighting now as I already have 3 Sunmaster HPS Deluxe 95,000 Lumens.
