I'm having a problem with the temp in my tent. It's getting up to 83 degrees in it? I'm not sure how to cool it down to 70-75. Any help would be appreciatedCIMG1015.jpgCIMG1018.jpgCIMG1017.jpgCIMG1016.jpgCIMG1019.jpgCIMG1014.jpg

what kind of light is it? ..... (should have this info in your first post) To be able to help you the best you should provide more info about your setup. What fan are you using, what light, what size is the tent.......

With that light setup you dont have an option to vent the hood. You need to try and cool the room that the tent is in, run overnight should be cooler at this time.

just get a air cool'd reflector and a fan. if your gena cool the room then ur gena have to get a ac, thats gena cost u abit and they take up to 1000w of elec. i would rather go for the air cool reflector and fan that will keep the temps right down and u wont have to go mad with the bill. if ur low on money get a cool tube and get a 200+ cfm fan to go with it, thos are ur best options

thats what i thought but i dont think anyone sells a cool'd reflector for 150w lights.

After running it over night the temp was 80.5. Is there anyway i can grow in the 80's. Add Oxygen? I really don't want to grab air from the outside seeing how this is in my closet. I really don't want a hose running to my window.

I think you might be a little too paranoid, my first grow and harvest was grown in everything between 82 to 103. I wish I could keep my tent 83 consistently, IMHO, I think you'll be fine.

If you want to make it better get a 4 or 5 inch PC fan to suck air in

With my inline fan its bringing in quite a bit of air through the duct at the bottom. Your right, this is my first grow so I want to have everything right.

I'm growing in the same exact tent with a 400w hps. First I can vent my hood and I have 2 fans doing that 1 as a booster fan.
The key for me was covering the AC vent in the room with a fitting I got from home depo then ducting that to the intake on the tent. I've aimed this ducting to blow toward the light. Pics to follow. My temps stay around 82 and hit a high of 88 but if it get this high I make co2 it helps the plants withstand higher temps.

Also here is a link to a cheap home made AC it lowers my temps by 2-4 degrees depending on time of year. For me it's 90 outside today (I hate Florida weather) so I have it in use today.

Hope this helps you! You said snow so I don't think you'll have a prob.

Unfortunately I don't have a AC in my apt. However it is winter here so it will be well below freezing shortly. Someone just told me the other day 83 was too hot so that's why I was a little bit worried.

Na my temp range is usually 79-84 86-88 being on super hot days. Check out that link I posted to the DIY AC that could help you out that could help ya some. I though about using dry ice in it for + co2 and chill the room but I think it's to expensive.

Also I noticed your fan is in the DR Id place it on the outside and vent the ducting into a wall or ceiling that should reduce your temps by 2-4 degrees alone.

Home depo or lows sells repair kits that will allow you to patch that big ass hole you need to make.
