okay, situation! The thin layer of black lava rocks i put in the bottom of the bucket so all the dirt didnt fall out. Now the rocks are holding in the water (and nutes) in the bottom of the bucket. The layer 2nd down right below the top of the canopy is looking pretty droopy (the rest looks great though, weird) kinda like the last plant i did when it wasnt draining.
So i did a moisture test with the probe and about 4-5" down where most of the roots are and its giving me a avg reading of 5 of 10 like it should be a day or 2 after I water, but when I stick the probe down to almost the bottom im getting a reading of 9 so i know its not going out anywhere.
I would really hate to try and fish around in the bottom of the bucket to pull out a few of the rocks so what do i do???
Last time I did something like that I stressed the plant to death so not sure thats gonna work. I put some pictures up here of the plant, the bucket design that its in and the rocks that im using in the bottom. Its not completely covering the holes on the sides but maybe the big ones on the bottom are too covered. Its the only thing I can think of that would be causing it.
Like I said though, there is just NO WAY of not putting NO ROCKS at all in the bottom and expecting it to hold ANY soil so what other choice did I have?
Hopefully this is enough info. (It dosent show the problem in these pictures because she is under the HPS for another hour and the pics turn out crappy)
