Drip System Question

I desiging a new drip system and I had this theory
- possibly the more drains I put in the planter- the faster the water drains out of the planter, leaving more time for roots to easily move through the hydroton and get more oxygen.
-Howver I dont know if it is more effective to let the roots sort of sit in the nutes longer by having slower drainig on the planter?
Help Please

I use two in a 5 gallon pot, at times ive used one,either way I bet four would be the best but eventually youll empty rez too fast and the return pump might not keep up and your feed pump could burn out. I perfer two and I routate them after my flush each week, meaning they dont feed the exact spots all the time
