Hi,

I have some autos in coco coir. Watering / feeding every day at a PH of 6.0. EC of run off is around 1.0.

the leaves seem to be drooping / clawing down. Photos attached. Sometimes they perk up but often they are as in the photos. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be great.

thanks

What are they being fed? A coir grown plant should be fed several times a day to flourish.

It looks like a combination of excess light and not being fed frequent enough.

Cheers!

thank you,

so feeding a few times a day, will that not be overwatering or is that ok with coco? I have only used coco once before this run?

my lights are a 300w LED they is approx 45 cm from canopy and sr to 100%.

thanks

Agreed.......feed several times a day to substantial run off.
A plant that size in coco cannot be over watered. Coco holds 30% oxygen when completely saturated. Feeding to run off restores the nutes, pulls in fresh oxygen to the roots, and prevents salt build up.

What's the air temperature in the tent?

What hours you running?

You feeding to slowly to substantial run off?

the air temp in tent is 24 c when lights on and around 20 c when lights off.

light cycle is 20/4

not sure what you mean by feeding too slowly.

thanks

I am using canna coco A and B, Rhizotonic, cannazym and canna boost for my nutes and following the canna feed chart for dosages.

is there any advice on better nutes I can use?

thanks

You're using too much light. It's hard to push a lot of light without a very dialed in environment with CO2. In veg there's no reason to waste wattage as heat, the plant only grows slower with excess light in veg with light bleaching as a result.

Increase feedings to at least two times a day depending on pot size. I'm feeding three times a day but I also run 8 hours less light in veg. I'm only using 250w of LED in my 4x4 in veg at a good distance. You want to avoid undesired stretch while keeping temp and humidity at a higher optimal.

Nutes are on point! I've run many cycles with Canna Coco A+B from start to finish.

Cheers!

thank you,

I am a little confused over you saying you run 8 hrs less light in veg? I thought autos required at least 18 hours of light per day during veg and flowering? Am I missing something here?

thanks

I'm vegging a photo period plant with 12 hours on, 5.5 off, 1 on, 5.5 off. I would personally use 18/6 early on for autos to build structure and later finish on 12/12.

I don't think 300w is too much light........I run a 650w in a 4x4 tent with excellent results.
Rule of thumb.......approx. 30 actual watts of led per s/f of grow area.

Sorry, the to was accidental.
Should say, are you feeding slowly, so that all the coco gets saturated, to eliminate the chance of dry pockets of coco.

If you raise the temp to 80f I suspect they'll be happier.

Nothing wrong with the canna range!

pretty sure I’m feeding slow enough and all coco is saturated.

raising temp may be an issue as in I’m and it’s cold in my grow room. I’ll look into a small heater.
