drooping

yesterday i posted a topic about my plant drooping, today it seemed fine until a few hours after i gave it the nutes im using (baby bio) could that be the culprit? if it is not diluted enough or something like that?

pix would be wonderful sweetie; my guess is overwater though....

unfortunately cant post pics. but i can say its the newest leaves that are drooping and are hanging parallel to the stem rather than sticking out like the rest.

hmmm, sorry, but i can't realy give you a prognosis without seeing what's wrong...

stop using bio, do a good flush; if the situation doesn't improve, top off the wilted part.

if you think you may be watering too much, don't flush, let the soil dry out and see what happens. sorry i can't be of more use...

I may be falling in love with the princess......Ahem.....I mean, I have had this problem with the two plants that I've had and I just let them go for a good 3 or 4 days without H2O and TaDa! they were back in shape.......let your roots breath, and you will be rewarded.

I'm single BTW.....and for no good reason. ;P

lol yeah mine did that and I flushed and let them dry and then I got a nifft nute tester and soil ph tester and water ph tester with ph up and ph down from the hydroponix store. My babies are now doing great. but my ph was way off . I thought drowning too but i think it was more a ph prob. do you check your water after adding nutes?

I had the same problem when my soil was not areated enough, I used a potting mix that got like concrete after a few days and it was smothering my babies, I repotted using an organic mix with 20% perlite and it recovered in about 3 days.

It's over or under watering. Considering it's done it just after you watered rather suggests it's over-watering. The way you can tell is that the leaves look limp and lifeless if they're under-watered, if they're over-watered they're firm but curled under. Not to be confused with nutrient over-dose which is leaves curled right under like a rams horn.

The cause of the leaf wilting from over-watering is the lack of oxygen in the root zone. This can happen from a variety of reasons from an incorrect watering schedule, incorrect watering technique, too frequent watering and not allowing any run off out of the bottom of the pot. You need to learn the 'wet/dry' method of watering and stick to it.

In the meantime, you can try adding some aeration holes into the soil by very gently pricking it with a thin stick - meat skewer, barbeque skewer about half way down into the pot - be careful with the stick that you don't start damaging roots. This should help get some oxygen down into the root zone and help aerate the soil.

How old are these plants? Did you get some lighting for them. VV
