Droopy plants after cloning

deviance

I tried cloning a couple plants 2 days ago.
They are in rapid rooters, in a tray with water, under a 150w hps.;
I just don't know what im doing wrong and i hope i could get some answers

Thanks RIU.

are you leaving about 3 to 4 cm of stem in the rooter what are you useing to encourage rooting they look like crap when first cut because they have no root keep them humid need more details 2 days is very young they will take about 7 to 10 days to have a good root in the pic loose some leaf look at some of the clone grows they have on RIU less leaf hps at this stage is also over kill soft light is needed shop light or cfl see F.A.Q keep trying it dose pay off :eyesmoke:

You need a humidity dome and spray the inside with a bunch of water and cover your clones. Keep your 150 watt a good 3 feet away. Or buy one cfl and keep it a foot or more away. They barely need any light, and make sure it's always humid in the dome around 90% or more is good.

i just cloned my mother today...would putting a cut up plastic pop bottle over them be an alright humidity dome?

.......why would you do such a thing?? lol:hump: ....and yes, I believe that will work for a dome---just make sure to open it a few times a day and dont have it too close to light or it can become like an oven......

Deviance, I would also recommend for some reading the threads on cloning.....there are a lot of variables to consider and you may very well be able to pinpoint what's not working for you......and as 12311979 said, that's way too much light......and along with his questions, are you getting the Rapid Rooter too wet??

Great luck!!

you should trim up the clone a bit. i go as far as cutting the fan leaves in half so they dont keep sucking nutes, and i take off some of those little branches on the clones. it help promote the growth to go down and create roots rather than to keep doing what its doing. and cut it at a 45 degree angle. and put it in water to shake out the air bubbles. there is a lot i think you should just research cloning

yeah i was goin to say the same thing as chettybear i have done as he said and had almost 100% sucess i have only lost 1 clone due to not rooting and i think i cut it to young
