drying but losing smell?

I harvested about 36 hours ago. the first 24 hours the bud absolutely reeked. any where it would be the room would instantly smell like a fruity skunk haha. but ive noticed the weed barely smells anymore unless your right up to it and its not as strong. also the pistils seem really thin , but idk if that has anything to do with it.whats going wrong? how can i re gain the smell or do i just gain smell back in curing ?

When you jar it, the smell should return.
I generally hang for 3 days (72 hours) then cut it down to smaller buds and put in a brown bag for 4 days. (Rumple's harvest and cure method). After that it goes in the jars for 30 days. During that 30 days the smell returns.

you want to open the containers at least once or twice a day to freshen the air inside. if you do not exchange the air inside of the containers the smell can turn into an ammonia smell. or the buds could rot or mold. but after a few weeks the smell should be dank after a month.

when you chop the smell usually goes away fora bit and then it'll smell like a freshly mowed lawn, thats just the chlorophyll and it'll vanish after a few, then the smell will return. you can heighten the smell and potency if you do as the guys suggest and cure, either paper bag or glass jar method, the longer you cure , the stronger it'll get but it'll also lose a bit of weight as moisture leaves it. your shout. but dont worry about the smell it'll come back.

I find when you jar it for awhile it will just bask in its own dankness. Its actually ridiculous how much the smell will suddenly return.

another issue you may have is that your becoming too used to a heavy smell, your nose quickly gets used to it and although you dont think its strong it actually is . wont be the first time ive walked into my grow room for five mins and then went out to a local shop/bar and EVERY fucker in the place is looking at you, some with a faint smile.

hahahahah lol... i know ppl who have done the "dura72". blueberry/skunk is really obvious when ur the only one in the room who smells like it. *aaahhhhhhh* Lessons learned. cheers!!!
