Drying on door screens?

I have a stack of storm door screens. Is there any reason why I should hang my harvest rather than just laying things out flat on the screens??:D I could hang the chit but it would just be more convenient to use the storm doors.

I hope not. Got the top colas hanging free and everything else on screens with cool dry air over s-l-o-w-l-y. Come on now, Super Silver Haze you lazy bitch. Not kidding - she has been flowering for a month now and the last 2 weeks in earnest. At least another 5-6 weeks. That will be close to 14 weeks. IF she is even ready then. And the White Widow planted a month later is catching up to her daily! Come on, baby. Come to papa.

Drying your bud on screens is fine. I hang mine up and then put some in a hanging basket I bought at Ikea for 5.00. When I run out of room to hang the buds go in the basket. Here's to a good harvest.

If I had enough hangers or wire I'd hang them. A trip to the grocery in a bit will yield twisties and then they hang for a week or so. Our weather has turned cool to cold!

Every time I do anything but hang my bud I lose bag appeal
I have found my buds ending up denser or different then the ones hanging right over them and I don't like my bud touching anything but my jar and my papers.

that's true.

only time i use them is for the outdoor harvest, and even then it's only for the stuff i've cut out due to concerns about mold or bud worms.

Well Harley... It looks like we are both screwed cause my Super Silver has a way to go. Doing well but average first frost here at 42 degrees is 10/20 I think and the Silver is gonna need another week or two longer than that. That 10/20 date is the average for first frost so just maybe..... I am only a couple of hundred yards from the ocean so maybe that will let me get to November but I doubt it. WTF
Riddle me this though. How do they determine what the average first frost dates are? Sounds funky...:dunce:

I will probably hang the best looking stuff and use the screens for everthing else. The screens are not good for bag appeal eh???:peace:

No room near a window you can put it in or something? I don't even know your situation or anything but if it's possible you know:
More light and frost sounds worse then less light next to a window that gets sun. IMO
One week aint that long

OK Frog boy I will take the bait... "Why" are screens for "fuck ups" Can you back that up with a reason? What does hanging do that laying flat does not? I don't want to be any more of a fuck up then I am already so help me out!!!:D

Don't they make collapsing screens just for this purpose or are thosed aimed at Fuck ups as well? :-?

There is no reason to use screens at all. If you lay it down while it is still wet on any surface you will bruise and smash the buds. Hang it all and leave it till the stems snap. Use hangars and stem hooks and you can fit a HUGE harvest in a small area. I'm talking pounds and pounds.
