drying place too cold? MUST the buds be hanging?

ok so i got my white widow buds drying in a wooden dresser in the garage, is it possible that its too cold? it can get to be freezing at night, andd must they be hanging or can i just lay them in the drawer will it make a difference?

You want the temps to be atleast 60 but less than 80, RH around 40%. If it gets to cold, they will take forever to dry (freezing will damage buds that arent dry). You will also need to have some air movement, as not to cause mold/rot. If you cant hang them place them on a paper bag and rotate and turn them everyday. A proper drying is key to good smoke, dont let you hard work go to waste by not drying them and curing the proper way. There are lots of good reads on here about drying and curing

thanks! yeh basically the most important step just worried bout the cold i turn/ handle them a lot, its hard not to =)

freezing is bad and anyhting close to will take FOR EVER like he say temps between 60-70 i like 65 and a rh of 50%
