Dutch Passion Durban Poison from the 'tude

So I received a single DP Durban Poison bean from the 'tude a while back - she is currently in her 4th week of flowering and looking and smelling amazing.

Seeing as patience is a virtue I am still learning to hone, I was hoping to get some idea of what to expect. Growing her has been an absolute pleasure; she can take high PPM dosing, she smells wonderful, and she looks even better, nearly 4ft tall and buds everywhere.

Have you grown Durban Poison, if so, how was your experience? Smoke report?

If you follow a 45 degree line down from the top to the left, that's the DP, with another plant in the background - then there is a little bud peaking out one the lower right, other than that it's just the DP.

She was a mother at first, providing many sweet clones, she vegged for almost 2 months before I put her in 12/12 4 weeks back.

looks great man! i have one of the Durban Poison fem seeds from the "tude" as well but I haven't grown mine yet..might be in on my next grow though...from the pics im thinking it is a purple strain..anything on the buds site leaning towards purple yet?..but I'm subscribed..can't wait to see the outcome..did you get anything else from attitude?

nice man, that bitch is looking good! i also have a durban poison seed from the tude, i may grow it outdoors this season, i hear they thrive outside. i also got a northern lights seed as well, both the NL and durban were fem. was your durban fem as well when u started? i'm on board with this grow, i can't wait to see what this herb looks like.

Thanks! I can't, but I must wait! Funny thing is she is growing in a little 23 gallon bucket DWC system that I threw together as a temporary spot to place her in, but when she just started thriving like crazy, I decided to let her stay.

Back in the 80's I received a small bud from a German friend who told me it was Durban Poison - I clearly remember the distinct smell of anise that bud had, so delicious. That was some of the best bud I can remember that decade, besides Maui Waui, and this girl smells just like that!

Thanks man!

I got a few seeds from the 'tude, currently I have the DP and Bubble Gum flowering beautifully, with some Blue Cheese, Northern Soul, WhiteBerry waiting in the wings.

Thanks! I can imagine how nicely this strain would strive outdoors.

Yup, I've actually only ordered single fem seeds and thus far have a 100% germination rate - Attitude Seeds Rocks!

Nice grow - Yeah, I should have added, I did pop 2 of the power skunks, one was a male, the female, which was started at the same time as the DP, is barely 20 inches, has hardly any bud sites, and very sparse resin-less calyxes. She also took almost 4 weeks in 12/12 to show sex - the longest I've ever seen a vegged plant take to show!

yeah i've heard most of the feebies are total shit, so we'll see.

yeah i grew a freebie seed from Seed Boutique last year, Original Haze x Skunk # 1 and it was an excellent smoke..one of my fav's so far...my next grow is going to be Southern Skunk (seeds from a friend), Lemon SKunk from Greenhouse and I currently have a poll going to help me select a couple more..check it out and vote if you have the time...i have all the strains on there...too many to choose from...lol

superman27c, you grew out the original haze x skunk freebie from seedboutique? I have 5 of those.. so they are worth growing? How long did they take? I tried growing the boutiques freebie mazars and got rid of them cause they were crap... Im interested in original haze x skunk though.... how long did she flower? how tall did she get? was she a decent producer? please let me know, thanks bro

whats up man?..yeah I grew two of them outside..sadly i put them both in separate locations and the one i topped and took most care of turned out male..its was like 5 ft tall and would have been a large producer..topped it a couple times...but i had to kill it...sad day..but my other plant end up being female..it was in more a shaded area during its veg so it was a runt..but then I moved it after I realized it was my last hope and it took around 11-12 weeks flowering...i harvested it around oh..early nov. in the US..but the smoke is amazing..very head high...has a very nice taste and smell..too bad its all gone..lol...but i highly recommend..great strain! here is a couple pics..

ummm Ill give them a try then. I was turned off by the freebies after growing the mazar- i- shariff.... Mine turned out terrible and neither started flowering after 2 months... so, I got rid of them .... I will try the Original Haze x Skunk sounds good. BTW good luck to you and thanks for getting back to me. Peace
