Dwarf Fruit Tree Orchard... 500 sq ft space

I have 500 sq feet (25'x20') of space that I'm dedicating as a fruit/nut orchard.
Gonna go with dwarf trees and they'll go into the ground.
How many trees do you think I can fit in there, if I went with a snug fit?
I'm reading the crowns on each will be about 8ft in diameter.
My sketch is telling me six would be perfect... but I'd like to cram two more in for eight total.
Think that'd be two too many?

you can grow fruit trees to stay small and produce lots of fruit, there is a method of pruning that can keep a full size fruit tree under 6'x6'. Look into E-Z pick pruning. keep in mind that some trees need a pollenizer to produce their best fruit. if you know what root stock your tree is on you may be able to graft an additional variety or two. you can buy multi-graft trees with several different varieties grafted on one root stalk. what kind of trees are you going to grow?

E-Z pick pruning... I'll research that.
Yes, I was actually thinking of getting at least one 'fruit salad' tree... but still haven't decided for sure what trees.

Gonna go check this place out, sounds like he knows his fruit trees:
I have one of the largest selection of fruit trees in the Santa Clara Valley. They are very fine trees OF EVERY TYPE. Many will bear fruit this year. Sizes include DWARFS, SEMI-DWARFS and standard. I have many grafted specialty trees with 4 in 1, 5 in 1 and 6 in 1 types of fruit on one tree including espaliers at the lowest prices around. I also have full and dwarf AVOCADO trees (of every variety) and TROPICALS including guavas, sapotes, cherimoyas, persimmons of many varieties, jujube, fruiting mulberry, fruiting pistachio, almonds, walnuts, and many others. If I don’t have what you want, I’ll get it for you. I even have grafting supplies and a new organic method of ridding your trees and yard of worms, aphids, white flies, and other bugs. If you have any questions about anything regarding fruit trees or grafting, please call me.
This business and our property have been in our family for generations. In fact, I was born in the house next to the nursery. I would love help you in any way that I can. Please stop by!
