Hello, this is my first DWC grow and I would really appreciate any advice you guys can give me.
I have 3 white widdow clones that were planted 4 days ago. They are looking very droopy and wilted and they are turning yellow. I dont know if they are in shock or if they are dying because im doing something wrong.
-I am using a 400w HPS light runninng 24 hours a day for now.
-The bulb is about 23 inches from the top of the plants
- the temp at the top of the plants is 80 to 85F and the water is 76 to 82F.
-I am using foxfarm nutes at 3/4 strength.
-The ph is between 5.5 and 6.5
- each plant is in a black 5 gallon bucket with plenty of air bieng pumped into each bucket by 2 different airpumps.
-there is also a fan circulating the air.

TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE as I am very worrried that the lil guys are gonna die.

I really appreciate any help I can get.
THANKS

how do your roots look. I would also back the nutrients off to half strength or around 400-500 ppm. It sounds like you have every thing else right. Res temps are a little high, but thats why I'm wondering how your roots are looking. All brown and slimy? They should be a crisp clean white. Also, How did you mix your nutrients(all at once, one at a time, ect) and are you adding anything beside the fox farm 3 part?

I could be wrong but based on my DWC grow Id go with 1/2 strength nutes IF THAT. Also how airrated is that water? 85 degrees at your cannopy is warm too if your not running CO2. Id get the temps down a bit, back off the nutes slightly, and make sure that water is heavily airrated

Notice how your leaves are curling at the tips? Usually thats a sign of over nutes. If you just put your clones in the DWC than expect a few days of shock as well. It happens

Are they fresh cut clones or are they developed. If undeveloped what kinda rooting gel did u use ??? More info. How much do you water ??? I highly reccommend rock wool for starting clones. I wouldnt put clones in clay until roots are developed.

Funny, I am using the EXACT same setup EXCEPT mine are under a T5 4ft 8 tube flourescent. They have been there only 24 hours and I have one with tips and a leaf curled up on the side and one that looks a little droopy. This is my first DWC (always soil before). I am using a 4 outlet air pump with one 4 inch long airstone, one in each bucket. My FoxFarm nuits are at 2/5s of what they should be somewhere around 440. PH is near 6 or low six. I don't have a fan yet but they are open to a large room. Temp is mid to high 70s and humidity is around40-55% other than the fan is everything else good and I should'nt be alarmed at the leaf curling? Its only on one leaf. Two questions-

1. how much of the clone root and rockwool should be below the water line if at all?
2. How much is enough air? Im using ActiveAqua AAPA15L 15 liters/minute at 2.319psi, bubbles are'nt everywhere but It bubbles and gurgle around the clay balls.

One of my first posts here but looks like a great forum. Anythoughts or comments much appreciated!

thx
