dwc slight pinkish/red on roots

Hey everyone, after making some adjustments my buddies are doing great. healthy green and reaching for the light. I have noticed however there is a slightly red/pinkish tint on some of the roots. My room temp is 75ish so I'm guessing the water temps are ok, and plants seem to be thriving just curious if the red/pinkish hue is maybe due to the red/pinkish hue of the water itself (when I add nutes the water turns pink, lucas formula). Anyhow just want to catch any problems early if they begin to develop. Thanks

bump.....anyone else experience a slight staining on roots due to the "color" of the nutrient water? I noticed when I changed my water out after a week there was a filmy slime on things, not much but it was there, is this slight amount of film and staining normal or should I do something in response to this to prevent future root rot?

The discolored roots are normal, imo. Ihave the same thing, the ones out of the water seem to turn darker from the spray. The ones in the nute solution seem a bit whiter. As for the slime in the res I think it's normal. I scrub my buckets out each water change. I run my airstones under hot water, air line and all. Are you using the add back calculator or just plain water?
