early sexing?

so my light cycle was on 24 hours for a while but wanted to cut my electric costs down and changed it to 18/6 about 3 weeks ago. well today i came in and looked at them and 2 of them have white hairs and one of them looks like a male. first of all i am going to post a pic to see if its def a male since this is my first time. second thing is why would these plants start to show signs of sexing even though i havent changed light cycle. let me know if this is def a male, thanks

hard to see from pic but looks like a male to me too. What your seeing are preflowers and it's totallly normal. Really makes sexing a lot easier when they appear. Congrats on the girls.

and should i leave this one in with the others or should i pull it out? i have a phototron i was going to throw it in until i figured it out since i didnt wanna pollenate the girls

it's just the plant maturing. Some strains do some don't. like I said it's perfectly normal they are probably ready to flower if you are.

keep the "male" growing until your certain it's a male. You arent in any danger of pollinating anything ATM.

The plant in this pic is a clone from a vegging plant and had recieved 18 hours of light only. Clone often have them and so do the mothers. It's a sign of maturity like alternating nodes are. These are called preflowers.

Do you have a closer pic? It's kinds looking male from here. But either way. It's not uncommon for a plant to show pre-flowers in veg. It just means that she is sexually mature. I would get rid of the male immediately.

This was taken two weeks into veg if you can see the tiny little hair.

sorry i dont have any closer pics, i took them with my droid and thats as close up as i can get. is it normal for all three plants to sex without changing hte light cycle though? thats what kinda has me stumped. i can see one of them doing it but it seems odd that all three of them show sex before the light is changed to 12/12

Its biology. I would just recommend getting rid of the male. No need to waste resources if youre not a breeder. What kind of setup do you have?

i got a 400w mh in a closet with ventilation. using scotts soil that has been working really well...i use peters 20-20-20 for fertilizer. i have 3 plants that i have been growing for about 50 or so days. and i just put 5 clones of afghani kush in last week. i wanted to let them grow for a month and then change the lights to 12/12 and bud everything up. i did save one of the clones and am using for a mother in my tron.

so get rid of the male? a few minutes ago you said it wasnt causing any problems so i put it back in there lol. ill throw it away this time

but why would alll that show if i havent changed the light cycle to 12/12? its still 18/6....
If left in a vegetative growth stage long enough cannabis plants will develop pre-flowers. It is totally normal and natural. It is not flowering so it is not related to a shortened day.
