Eastvale: Firefighters find grow - 596 plants and approximately 3½ pounds processed

On Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at about 8:30 PM, firefighters from the city of Eastvale Fire Department, responded to a house fire in the 7700 block of Stonegate Drive.

After extinguishing the fire, the fire fighters entered the location and determined that the residence was unoccupied. During their safety check of the residence, the fire fighters discovered what appeared to be a large-scale marijuana cultivation operation and immediately notified the Eastvale Police Department.

Officers from the Eastvale Police Department confirmed that a marijuana cultivation operation existed and secured the residence for the arrival of Eastvale investigators.


On Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at 1:30 PM, investigators assigned to the city of Eastvale, authored and served a search warrant for the residence. Once inside the location, investigators discovered the residence had been modified for the sole purpose of cultivating and processing marijuana for sales. Investigators seized 596 marijuana plants and approximately 3½ pounds of processed marijuana.

Additionally, electricity was being bypassed around the meter, which, according to the firefighters, caused the fire resulting in thousands of dollars in structural damage to the residence.

Please dont bypass a meter. Sure way to bring the feds. These things really make me sad and do nothing to help the medical field. If they had scripts. While some would say its just a plant for medical use. Even in cali it is not legal yet.
Bypassing a meter hurts all of us and never should be done.

On a side note, there was a house that burnt down for the same thing a few weeks ago near me. Rather funny to see. I think people like this get what they get while stealing from all of us who do not bypass a meter.
