Ebb & Flo Nute Burn

Ok Im new to growing weed but have been growing poppies for awhile and Ive been trying to find the solution to a problem. The tips of my leafs are turning brown on my weed so I checked the ph it was alittle high so I brought it down a bit. But Im pretty sure its due to nute burn cause Ive had this problem before with poppies but in soil not hydro. My question is this. I want to flush them but Im not quite sure how exactly I am suppose to do this. I am using an ebb & flo system right now( my first time using this system normaly use DWC for hydro grows). It seems obvious to just empty res. and refill with just water. But how long to I want to to keep it with just water? How many times do I feed them like that? Im just curious cause Im not sure what the plant will eat as food if I dont put anything in the water. Thanks

If you are going to flush, clean your reservoir out thoroughly. Fill it with fresh water and Ph adjust to around 5.5-6. Then, let it cycle for 24 to 48 hours. Keep a close eye on your plants during this time. The issue you are noticing should stop its progression. If it does, then you can mix your nutrient solution again. As a general rule, you want to start off no more than 1/2 the recommended strength of nutrients. What PPM's are you running in your solution?

You don't need to flush; just use a more diluted nute solution.
Aye, I always leave room for more water in the res if needed. If I notice burn I just add more water till the ppm is where I like. Ph again of course.

One thing I have also noticed is that when I upped the juice on my mothers, all of the old growth started to burn some, but all the new growth was as healthy as ever.
