Ebb & Flow Hyrdo Newbie

I’ve grown from soil before, but was recently given a very nice flood and drain set up. I *think* I have all of the tools I need. It’s a whole different world on this hydro side lol
Table, 40 gal reservoir, lights, timers, water pump, stone pump, dehumidifier, etc and also all feminized seeds, rock wool cubes, mesh pots, clay pebbles, cutting edge solution 3 part.
Im ready to go ahead and get my seeds going and my set up flowing.

now here are my questions:

Do I NEED any additives? I’ve got the 3 part feed but do I need to add anything prior to added those? I’ve read about adding A diluted binding agent or even some type of fungus.
Because this is my first hydroponic grow I don’t see myself being fully successful so I at least want to get the basics covered and do the bare necessities to get it figured out before empty my pockets and still not have a good outcome because I’m not experienced.
Also, when I do set my water up, do should I start with half strength nutes and strengthen them each Time I change the reservoir until I reach recommended? Or should I start with reconvened?

and lastly what should my starting of flood schedule be?
Like I get my water situated the way it supposed to be I get my plants in there what should I start doing?

Sorry I’m all over the place just a little overwhelmed but also super motivated to try and understand and get this done successfully thanks!

A lot of that stuff depends on your personal grow setup. Watering times are setup dependent.

Feed strength should go by ec not % recommended on the bottle. So mix to your desired ec.

I start at about 0.5 ec with most of that being my tap water. For me that is 15% recommended. I water every 3 hours for 15 seconds. Then lower that interval as the plants grow. By full flower I water every 40 min for 25 seconds and my ec is 1.2-1.5.

But this is how I do it in my lil 2x4x7 with a 10gal res.

My flood drain is buckets filled with hydroton that drains back to a res.

As far as nutes go keep it simple. Just use the basics nutes. Don't need anything added.

I use jacks 321 and Epsom. Works great.

I recommend going sterile rez. Just makes life easy imo.
