Question would my 250 watt mh cause this big jump in my electricy bill? The bill went from $50 to $234.00. I ran my 250 watt metal haloid for 18 hrs on and 6 off for 30 days......hubby may shut this girl down.

You must be running something else because a 250 watter only draws 2 and 1/2 amps, less than most TV's, hell I leave my computer on 24/7 and it draws 4 amps

Shouldn't have been that much!. You used .250 *18 * 30 = 135 Kilowatt hours. At .12c/kwh your total would be $27 . Sure you didn't run any space heaters or something? Living up there in Bronco country and all where its mighty cold .

why dont you just shut your hubby down, wonder how much he spends on beers weed vs beers?? i know which i would choose.
