how well do the outlet adapters work I wanted two lights. 150w hps and 150w mh. Homedepot has medium based adapters that say they plug into the wall. Curious if anyone else has tried these, or could I start a fire? Thank you in advance

those HPS bulbs need a ballast to work. an outlet adapter?

yeah. Home depot claims they have one. You screw a medium bulb into it, and the other end is for 120v outlet. I never heard this before but i'm seeing it on their website. Just wondering if anyone else has tried this

whatevert is its not meant for plugging an hps or mh in to anything, you gotta have the ballast

those addapters are cool if u want to use a power strip and then place a few of those on it.. or if u dont want to use actualy sockets and just wanna hang an extention cord or somthing.... as far as placing a hps or mh on there is out of the question.... you need to get a balest for it.. if you want a 150 hps then u need to go buy one of those outside securety lights that go on the outside of your house
