I'm also a commercial/industrial electrician, and would be happy to, uh, help shed a little light on the subject of electrical needs and safety. That is, if e-mike isn't around.... this is his thread and his show. I'm just around on a bit more of a regular basis.

What are your guys thoughts on mini splits inside a 10x10x8 tent, possibly 12x12x8?

The gorilla grow tents to be specific. I'm a commercial spark too, but since you guys have experience designing maybe you can chime in. I don't know shit about charging lines so would have to go with the precharged units. I would think 1 ton would be the max size, maybe over kill. Like on paper it seems alright, although I'm no hvac guy. Running the lines inside the tent could be a pain, there would have to be 2 x 90 degree bends. Lights are air cooled 8", trying to get a closed system going. Just finished outdoor season so on to the next thing.

Already built a lighting contactor board. 4 ballast flip, relay on timers which control coil contactors. Ballasts run 24/7, just switching the mogul. Easily expandable which is nice, so much cheaper than the shit hydro stores sell.
