Electronics/component relay. Can anyone help me with this one?

Hello fellow Tokers!

I recently bought a timer box pro 4 way with the timer built in! I am just wondering if anyone can help me with this as I don’t want to just to plugging it in as it’s 26amps, I’ll post a photo to make this easier for you all! but do I plug this in to two separate sockets or can I use one dual socket? I’ve read online that one goes in to the socket and another goes in to a timer in to a separate socket? But I’m confused because it does have a timer built in,

I just realized that it has outlets on both sides. I would say the same, it is looking for you to plug into two different circuits and plug into both sides of the box for the power capability. I am guessing the timer would run off one plug or the other. Plug her in and try it.

Both of those U.K. plugs plug into a double U.K. outlet.

it’s to allow power to draw without blowing out one socket.

this is an advance horticultural contactor relay.

a standard one would have one plug in the mains and the other plugged into a timer into the mains.

The idea with the later is so you can use a conventional segment timer etc and not blow the internal components of the timer causing it to fail.
 
Plug both into a double outlet.

plug your lights into the lighting section.

plug your heater into the heater section etc.

this is so that your lights respond to the timer and your heater should not. Allowing you to have the safety of the contactor while still utilising power when lights are off.

You have sockets at 220-240V (not sure what you have) and supply 25A. Boy, you Brits are much tougher than us on the other side of the pond.

We have 240v to the outlets in the home generally on ring mains with B32 breakers and lights etc in B6 or B16 breakers.

thank you all for your replies!

So basically I just plug this straight in to a dual plug socket side by side? It does say at the bottom on a sticker 13a each side and I thought a normal uk dual socket could only take 20amps Max? Sorry to question it I’m just very curious!
