emergency self pollenation

I'm growing afghan kush outdoor and they are all female which is awesome but I want seeds for next year. So I'm thinking about sacrificing one and letting it go into emergency self pollenation mode at the end of season. Has anyone here ever done this and what are the draw backs? Will it create a fair bit of seeds and will they be stable?Because I really want keep this strain in my rotation but don't want to keep buying seeds or resort to chemicals.

its gonna be a hard thing to do, you could let it go, but if it gets to overripe the trich will turn black and the smoke will be worthless, one of my buddys friend had this idea that if he let it keep goin he would "yield" more well in the end he let it go till the tricromes turned black n the smoke was worthless didn't get you high, and gave me a migraine from hell, idk I cant say ive ever let one go overripe to produce a seed, but on a rare occasion I have found one or two seeds maybe someone that has done this can chime in, Im just speaking from what ive seen and known

It depends where you are, if you have a super long growing season. Your plan might work, but you have to consider you'll need 3 weeks after pollination for the seed to be done... In areas where there is wild cannabis growing. (Which would be) Anywhere but up to Canada and beyond... You will probably find some seed in your bud anyway, from the pollen that is present in the air from the local fare :) In America the pollen present would be classified as wild hemp or ditch weed strain. The seeds made from this hybrid cross of ditch and better strains, usually doesn't do that well under HID lighting. But can be pretty good under fluroscent lighting... (Further inbreeding of such hybrids does produce better results)

its way to late to make seeds! i grow a male plant off site harvest it brown bag it and collect like an 1/8 ounce of yellow pollen, then leave a small plant after harvest hand pollinate with q tip get ounces of seeds, so plan it next year and dont forget to give some of those seeds to the poorest person you know. its a karma thing! thats what i do...

If you can clone it why would you need seed? Take a clone, allow it to re-veg and then use it as a mother to make as many plants as you want.

clones are GOOD! but i love the adventure of growing seeds, each plant a little diff. plus i get beter root balls from seeds than clones, helps grow the big ones.

i can't really grow inside so no way to keep them alive till next year:(. Wish I had the space to grow inside. I just get it in outside lol .. This was my first clone this year also and she kinda shabby lol I'm going to drop it down in the dirt again she about 4in tall so I'm going to drop it down and only leave the top out again.
