Would I see a big jump in my energy bill if I had a 600w hps and a 4inch inline fan?

It depends on your area. My area is about 8.5 cents/kw and if you were to use those 12 hours a day it'd be like $21-24 a month for just those 2 things.

I wouldn't worry about the cost of 1 600w and the fan @ all. Especially considering the potential return from the light.
depends on what you already use. in a 5 bedroom house w/ 8 people living in it, no. a studio where you live alone & don't use much,you could triple your bill.

How in Gods name could you triple your bill using a 600w HPS? If your power bill was around $10 a month maybe.
like I said, in a studio where you don use much power.no fridge,small tv, a few lights. just an extreme but so was the other example

Dam, Hook that shit up and get a growing..... 1 600 watter and 1 fan wont do shit.... Just turn your TV off at night, your computer... I had 6 light fixtures in my house that had 5 bulbs each.. and they were 100 watters each.... I took 1 bulb outta each one and swapped the rest for 60's..... ... Just a littel engergy conservation on one side will let you blow it up on the other side.....
