Experience with CFL 16 hour MH 8 hour

So here the deal. I have a 400 watt MH and a single 125 watt CFL. I'm running the CFL for 16 hours through veg and the MH for 8 hours due to electricity costs.. I'm using the MH for flower all 12 hours. Strain is sage and sour. This is my 5th grow second SCROG style. Anyone ever done something like this lighting wise if so what am I expecting? Also second question I have a Barney farm chronic thunder outdoors getting about 7-8 hours of direct sunlight a day in some roots organic blend which I amended with some more perlite and peat moss. I'm using roots grow and bloom for the nutes. That's neither here nor there I just like knowing what people have going on lol and figured people would like to know the same. The question is anyone ever had the chronic thunder? What's the smoke like?

I should have been more specific. I'm only running the lights for 16 hours and the MH for 8 of the 16 while the CFL for the full 16. I'm using roots organic blend same nutes also. 5 gallon bag

Your 125w cfl you run for 16 hours, will Veg your plants (how well I would say is all on how many plants are under the one 125w CFL Bulb). The MH you add at 8 hours into the 16 hours of veg (half way through veg each day, do I have this understood clearly?), will for sure greatly increase overall development.

First, the mixing of spectrums, and types of light, are only going to benefit plant growth from what I understand, second the additional watts, and being that it is a MH which is a strong type of light for plant cultivation, specifically Vegetative growth, will, again, for sure benefit and enhance overall plant development.

My thinking on this is, it's all an overall benefit really, you are saving money on your electricity, your plants are still able to vigorously grow, and when that MH turns on, your plants are well "awake" and into full photosynthesis and growth, right? Cause they have had some time to "warm up" under that nice and cozy 125w CFL?

That's exactly how I'm running it. I wait for 8 hours in it works out well that way due to not being home through out the day.. I just didn't know how this would exactly effect the plant. I started with just the 125 but it seems like growth has been slow.. To slow for my liking. In just the two days I've ran the MH I've notice a big difference. Thanks for the input man greatly appreciated. I would do a log but I'm terrible at keeping up with them lol I've never tried the sage and sour. Hoping with the SCROG I can pull 6 plus OZ which with the 400 watt MH should be very doable. My last one was a sativa bag mix. first SCROG and pulled about 3-4 oz but I had to pull it way early like 7 weeks into flowering which sucked. It was still pretty good smoke for being not so mature
