Experience with Daconil

I’ve grown for a couple years outdoors and have had issues with powdery mildew. This year I notice some starting and sprayed with a copper fungicide. It did nothing. I then tried Daconil diluted to the recommended dose and it seems to have stopped the mildew progression. This was around the time the plants first started flowering and then I applied it again ten days later. Now after reading some comments about Daconil I’m concerned the buds may not be safe to smoke. I probably have another four to five weeks until harvest. Even thought it’s been a while since the last application of Daconil, there’s still white residue from it on the leaves. I tried spraying the plants with fresh water to get some of it off but it didn’t seem to work well.
Has anyone use Daconil and then smoked the buds? Is there a way to remove it from the plant using some other product or a light mix of water and hydrogen peroxide?

any advice or guidance would be very much appreciated.
Also I should add these plants are only for my own personal use, I won’t be selling it either way.
