fake light to real light?

im doing an indoor grow and was wondering if say there was a nice sunny day can i take my plant from the cfl light its on everyday and put it in the window for some real sun for an hour? like giving her a treat??

common someone has got to have some advice for me!

yeah it's all good, but be aware that it may be too much for em; depending on where you are geographically, sun intensity varies wildly. only reason it may be bad would be a mild shock from the light change from the cfls to pure blazing sun. The older & more established the plant the less the risk.

never a good idea to move plants much. daily moving will slow down growth dramatically as the plant has to re establish itself before it can carry on growing with each move

I'll play Devils advocate here ..

I grow CFL's.. and only a few low plants, so it is easy.

But in the last few weeks before harvest, weather permitting, I try and get them several hours of window sun and they love it and it seems to really pull everything together for the final count down.

I also veg my replacements in the same 12/12, so I move them out each night and back in the morning by hand, often if the sun is coming through I just stick em in the sill for the day.

Been doing this for a long time.. no concerns as long as I keep control of the plant and don't start smashing it into things or getting it caught on stuff which is a reason right there to NOT do what I am saying.. but it works for me in my situation.

I probably wouldn't do it in Southern Az in the summer when the sun might just fry em.. but up here in the mountains where I am at, it works real nice, especially to finish a harvest off.

I move my veggin plants into sun when ever I get the chance. I will stick them in my backyard, sometimes for the whole day, it doesn't bother them, as the poster above me said-keep control.
