i have :
Single speed 100mm fan that Extracts upto 85 m3 per hour, 23 litres per second and these are the measurments of my closet: width 4ft, length 3ft and hight 6ft. i am not sure if this is ok. can anyone help .
i have 400watt HPS.

Hey, im starting this week to really get setup as well, would love to know how that works out for you in the heat department. Well, sounds better than what im about to try at least . I paid like 15 bucks for it homedepot, its a bathroom fan, says it pushes 50cfm, has a sound level of 4.0 (still loud as hell i hear it 20 feet away). Im just putting it on the floor of closet with a hole in tarp for it to exit air without light escape hopefully. So please keep some updates going on temp and and if possible pics. Do you gurus think thats enough to keep temp regulated in a closet using a 400wattHPS, one of those types of fan on the floor. I can feel the air from underneath the door lik 10 feet away so its deffinitely pushing air but enough to keep the heat safe in a closet i dont know.

got my inline fan today, will post more pics as soon as i have time. gonna try to rig it up today but i need a 100mm hole saw.
will let you know how it runs bearo420.

You both need more fan....but give it a try with what you have BEFORE you put your plants in the space. Fire up the light...close the door...check the temps in 2 hours.

if it's over 80..you have a problem and need to buy a better fan....

Tip: Buy the best first. Go INLINE...don't waste interim cash on bathroom fans and other BS that will only work marginally. Yopu'll end up with a inline in the end as it is...so ANY money you spend now will be wasted in the end.

This goes for lighting too. Want BIG buds...you gotta have an HID light.

good luck

will give it a go and let you know how i get on. if it does not work i need a bathroom fan anyway so it wont go to waste.

Well, im stepping up the tarp idea cause i know ill need more air also. Im thinking of doing a second door behind my real closet door, and in this door im putting a bathroom fan on bottom as intake and then a another one on top as the output cause heat rises. So its semi stealth on the outside its a closet, open that door and theres another door, but this door has fans in it. Closet is 9 feet tall, 5 feet wide, but only 2 feet deep. So im hoping these fans make a difference on a 400watt hps in that space.

I have a similar sized set up in a closet mox, and a bathroom fan shifting 250 m3/h. You need that much to keep temp regular. I had to buy an inline as well, will have to install it soon because I can't connect carbon filter to bathroom fan. I tried, wasted money trying, and failed. So you're better off getting an inline fan from day one.
