I'm currently int he process of trying to get my grow box ready to grow. I am having problems with heat and I am on a tight budget. You can get more info on my grow here https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/448056-first-grow-250-watt-hps.html
I want to try turning my hood into air cooled. I have glass and all I need is a fan. I plan on having the light on its own intake and exhaust. Will this 80 cfm fan be enough to cool the light? http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&productId=100073963&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&ci_sku=100073963&ci_src=14110944&cm_mmc=shopping-_-googlebase-_-D26X-_-100073963&locStoreNum=254

Doubt it, it's only 65 cfm free air and when you factor in the hood and ducting your going to lose a lot of air flow. I would say get either a larger one around 150-170cfm and use step down adapters to connect to the hood or just get a 4 inch inline fan.

I agree with you also after further looking into it. I don't think I have a choice other than to find an air cooled hood or a way to cool the box better. Thank you for your response.
