Feeding sequence?

I have quick Q. for you guys and gals out there. For those of you that use nutes how do you mix them? more so what order do you put in your water? Do you PH your water and add your nutes? or PH after? I'm growing in soil using Botanicare products, and my normal routine is adding cal-mag to water first, then my grow, and then Liquid Karma, and then PH to 6.5. Does any of this sequence matter? I've also heard that if using a silica blast, that is the very first thing you add before anything else. I seem to be using a lot of PH up to get this mix right. Any thoughts? or is this just incoherent rambling? lights are going off at 12:00 and if someone has a diff. idea, would like to use it before they go off.

add nutes to water, as advised on the bottle, then ph. Nutes effect ph so it is a waste of time ph'ing beforehand.

Generally, it is not the sequence that matteres with regard to adding nutes to water, it's more often just a case of not combining the nutes in their concentrated forms.

so add them all together and toss in water all at once? then PH. just a small tweak, I'm gonna use it today and see how much diff. PHing goes. Thanks Tip Top Toker!

No, add individually. Do not mix together in their pure forms. From what i've seen this is mostly for a Part A and Part B type setup. The back of the bottle will tell you which order to add them.

For reference, i would always add Part A to the water, then part B (as the bottle instructed) and then after that just add any boosts or whatnot i happened to be using. Then PH'ed. Never seemed to have an issue this way.

O.K.,does 10 mil. of PH up seem like a lot to get a two G. mix up to 6.5 when it starts out @ 3.5? I'm not seeing anything going on with my plants and I used the same sequence as my outdoor last year and they were very healthy it seemed. It just worries me adding that much PH and thought it was something I was doing. thanks for the tips!

If that's what it takes, that's what it takes, and if you had healthy plants last year, then n reason to change things up.

What ph does your water start at out of curiosity. a ph of 3.5 after adding nutes is absurdly acidic. Granted my water was very hard, but i never once had to use ph up in 3 years.

My water straight out the tap is 7.5 give or take depending on the day. I think its the liquid karma that makes it drop like that. but have always thought 3.5 was a little crazy. the only time I use PH down is for straight water feeding and several gallons only takes a few drops. How important is letting your mix rest after adding PH? I mix it test it and pour it. its like It really starts to flat line and take a lot of PH after it hits the 5.8-6.0 to get it the rest of the way.

Letting your mix rest, i used to do it, just as i used to let water sit for 24 hours, and then i stopped doing all these things, and the plants kept on growing just fine. KISS. Growing cannabis can be as involving and complicated, or as simple as you like, and the kicker is that keeping everything simple works just great. For example, when setting up my DWC tubs, i was told it was absolutely vital to buy an EC meter and to be checking the reservoirs and adjusting it every day. I did this for one week, thought to hell with this, never used the EC meter again, and checked my plants once a week. Nothing changed. They kept on growing just as they had.

A lot of people will shout at me for this, but well, i think that people intentionally try and make cannabis seem hard to grow. And by this, i largely mean americans. The more time and effort it takes to grow, the easier it is to justify a price. The reality is that it takes absolutely bugger all effort or time to grow cannabis if you want, and as such it would be much harder to claim tending a grow room is a full time job. The whole caregiver situation in america sickens me. They act as if they're performing rocket science so they can claim it's only fair that they only gie 1 free ounce and charge for anything else.
