i thought being charged with a felony, would automatically take away your rights toown a gun, vote, and to have a passport?

if they didnt take it away, would air travel be apossibility or would the system show you as a felon

first of all, hill-dawg won't be president. second, both democratic candidates are much more MJ-friendly than GW, so I'm not sure WTF you would have to complain about.

um..maybe the fact 4 1/2 yrs in prison is retarted for having a plant in my closest, and im tired of getting taxed on everything and paying 4 dollars a gallon for gas-just to name a few

this is obviously not a politics thread, but - again - the treatment of MJ won't get worse with the democrats, and not sure how the democrats are in any way responsible for the $4/gallon gas ...

Dang, one plant felony. Maybe you should move to a different state before moving to a different country.

Passport, too? I knew about voting, can believe it about gun ownership, but had no idea about the passport. My initial Googling shows that felons can have passports, issues arise with parole or the nature of the conviction.

I don't believe Canada will take felon immigrants. Especially not people convicted of growing marijuana, they have enough of those people. Although I think if the felony was X amount of years ago and depending on what the charge was people could immigrate. Google "Canada immigration" or something like that and you will find the information you are looking for.

A few years back, a felon could not even visit Canada. Like a felony child support rap or a prosecution for flag-burning on the National Mall, or even a campfire citation in a National Park would prevent entry into Canada. However, things may have changed, I am not sure.

Well i have been a felon for over 10 years and i will never be able to own a gun again, I cant vote, But i can travel with a passport. I do remember about 7 years ago my family went up to canada and i couldnt go, I do believe i could go now though. I Love the U.S.A and wouldnt want to move to another country simply because i got caught growing. You knew it was illegal when you started time to deal with the consequences you knew existed. It sucks but it is the way it is
