female identified - ready to clone?

Today I found little white hairs coming out from the budsites on one of my smaller plants. hooray for me.

i am wondering if it would be big enough to clone in about 2 or 3 days - sometime this weekend? The secondary shoots are getting a couple inches long - i don't know if that's long enough?

It's looking a little unhappy right now; I came home from a 4 day vacation and it looked like it needed transplanting. I did that and I'm confident it will be looking healthy within a day or two.

Also, I have another plant that is WAY bigger and older (last pic), and it has not shown any pre-flowers yet, male or female. I had a male a while ago that I already got rid of, and it also started showing much younger than this one is. Any idea why it's taking so long to show its sex? Both seeds are from the same (unknown) strain.

Im looking at the pix...Where are the pistils? I dont see the "hairs" you're talking about.

I see preflowers...but no pistils. How old is the plant? Flip the lights to 12/12 for a couple weeks and you'll see what you have for sure.

Or take cuttings and do it.

the hairs are there. i took a bunch of pics, and none of them are very good. but they are deffinitely there.

i'll go see if i can get a better one.

Well if they're there...clone the known female. The smaller one doesnt look like there's much to take a cutting from.

On another note...The plants look stressed out. You should figure out why they look so stressed.... and soon.

High temps possibly.

here is one with the pistols clearly visible.

i just tied her down 10 minutes ago. she has already perked up alot from being transplanted. i'm anticipating rapid growth over the next couple of days.

Yeah it is...But a bit bigger would be best.

Considering that the cutting wont start with roots and will feed off the stored nutes in the leaves....If its a small cutting like that....make sure the leaves are big enough to hold up (not dry out, or go completely yellow) long enough for the rooting to occur.

I try for bigger clones than 3". My small clones always failed.

alright, i will wait a bit longer. thanks for the tips.

by the way, i'm pretty sure they looked stressed just because they needed water. i was away for a few days, and ideally they should have had a drink a day or two before i got home. the smaller one (showing female) has almost totally perked up in the few hours since i transplanted & fed it, and the big one is looking much more lively
