Hi everyone,

This will be my 2nd grow journal. In my last journal I vegged and flowered with CFL's and learned a lot. This grow is going to be a little more serious and advanced.

I've ordered feminized PPP seeds and two seeds are germinating as we speak. They should be ready to plant by tomorrow night. I'm going to SCROG this grow.

Here are some pictures showing you some of the specific things I'll be using during my grow. I've decided to Veg with CFL's and then flower with a 400w HPS.

The first pictures show my medium and my nutrients. My soil ph is right at 6 and my rainwater is around 6.4. These nutrients served me well on my last grow

These pictures give you an idea of what my CFL Veg fixture is like. I have (12) 6500k bulbs giving off approx 21,000 lumens.

Here's a shot of my grow room setup and I've placed the final pots under the net to give you an idea of what it will look like. The scrog net is 3x3 and the final pots are 13.5 quart pots which are plenty big enough.

The temp and humidity seem to be fine

Here's some accessories: I capture rainwater and fill gallon jugs. My scrog net is leaning against the wall. You can see my clone domes as well as I plan on taking clones.

Here's where it all starts......feminized PPP seeds from Nirvana.

I've read reports of guys harvesting 2-3 ounces per square foot on scrogs. My net is 3x3 which gives me 9 square feet. Since this is my first attempt at a scrog I'm setting a goal of 1.5 ounces per sq foot. This would give me about 14 ounces dried.

Please feel free to leave comments and ask questions throughout the grow.

Looking very good. I was interested in growing some PPP myself. What made you pick that particular strain? Also, were you satisfied with Nirvana's service?

I picked PPP because I have read SEVERAL good reviews by people who have grown it. Plus it's known for its large yield and very nice buds.

Nirvanas service was excellent. It took 14 days from the order date for them to arrive. The seeds were packaged with great care and it's definitely stealthy. I give Nirvana an A+.

O.K. GUYS ...

What a roller coaster ride these last couple of days.....

I germinated 2 seeds and both produced tap roots within 36 hours and were planted. I noticed that the seed shell was almost falling off of one of the seedlings when I planted it and I doubted it would sprout.

Well when ppp baby #1 came up the shell hung on and forced the 2 little green leaves to fuse so shes a bit deformed at the moment. She will fix herself.

ppp baby #2 is quite a story. When baby #1 came up there was no sign of baby #2 and I was sure she was a gonner. I dug down a little and found her but it looked like she had taken hold so I waited. Granted, she's tiny but I believe she's going to make it. She's super tiny and a complete runt but she's hanging on! I had given her a 10% chance prior to today but she's quite the little fighter!! She was the baby that's seed was falling off as I planted her. I hope she makes it.

Here's a 7 day old Indica that I'm growing just to practice cloning on. I dont know what she'll turn out to be but I'm not going to scrog this plant.

In about 5 days after the babies are rooted solidly I'll give them a super light mix of veg nutes. Wish me and the girls luck!!!!!

While the Indica baby has taken off, the PPP babies struggled a little.

Here's my 10 day old Indica that I'm going to practice cloning on. This plant wont be part of the scrog.

Here's PPP baby #1. This is the deformed baby because the shell hung on too long and caused the little green leaves to fuse. She will eventually fix herself

Here's PPP baby #2, she's my little fighter. I had written her off. Now look at her!!

Here's everyone together soaking up some sun.

looking good. if i were you...it looks as though you have a decent setup...except your lights. shultz food is not good either...very very easy to burn your plants. get a good light...you have a very clean looking room and would be super super legit if you had quality lights. search ebay man.....you can get them for super cheap if you look around. You only need a 250...that would be plenty..

I have a 400 watt HPS on order as we speak. However, I'll still veg with the CFL's. I'll flower with the 400 watt HPS though. I indicated that in the title of the journal. Thanks for the advice though.

As you can see, the Indica benefited from having the light all to itself for a solid week. The indica is 11 inches tall. I topped it at the 4th node and I've already cut one clone from it yesterday. You can see it in my dome in the picture. The Indica is in the rear.

The 2 PPP's struggled a little at first. PPP1 had a deformity and PPP2 was the runt that almost died. They are both now at their 3rd node. I fed them a really light solution of nutes(I'm talking 1/4 strength at most) and now they are starting to really take off. I'm going to place the net 10 inches above the top of their pots. In another 2 weeks we will start the training process in the net. I cant wait as I think it will be really fun and educational for us all.

Here's a pic I just took

The PPP babies are really starting to take off now. As you can see, they are little bushes. The taller Indica has been topped twice now.

Who says you cant veg effectively with CFL's?
