Few questions before I build my carbon filter

Also have the following fan: http://htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=52583

1. The pencil cups I bought for that filter have rubber padding at the bottom (no holes). Should I punch some holes in the bottom of both cups?

2. Will that fan work well with the filter above? It pushes 424 cfm.

3. Can someone tell me the best way to rig that fan up to the filter? I have some 6 inch ducting that I can use.

4. Finally, do you think this will solve most or all of my odor problems for a small closet grow (4 northern lights plants)?

I was going to run ducting into another room, but I would have to put many bends in it. So I think I'm going to have the filter pull air right outside my closet. Please let me know if this will be a problem.

it should work just fine depending on how big your plants are and how stinky they are. i grow a single master kush plants every 2 months and the flowering smells so strong. i made a similar carbon filter and it got rid of about 90% of the odor. so if you have a small grow with 4 plants and they're not so big, this should work great. looks better then my filter but mines a lil bigger for the fan i ahve it hooked up to. good luck man
