Few ?s for those with cards. Employment/insurance

I have the opportunity to be recommended to medical marijuana for my migranes. My job would fire me if they ever found out, we normally change insurance company every 1-2 years it seems. Would my prescription to med mj show up to my insurance company when they check my med records? there a list I would be on that my employer could see? My dr said no to both but I want a little more reissurwncr from people with actual cards.

Does it show on insurance?
Is there a list for employers to Check?

No it wont show up with insurance as its not a prescription, its a recommendation. the cards are issued through the state. so i doubt your insurance comes into play here. Your employer cannot find out unless you tell them. If you have to take a wizz quiz then make sure you let the testing facility know you have your card and they should omit that from the results.

The only way your insurance would know is if you have to take a physical for example life insurance or worker's comp claim. You should be able to find out in advance when that would occur. Your boss can only find out if you are required to take drug tests for any reason such as conditions of employment, or worker's comp.

Another TIP: Drug test are easy to cheat just do your research OR just quit for awhile - If you never admit to smoking marijuana or fail a drug test than you DO NOT USE MARIJUANA simple as that. It is only between you, the mdch, your doctor who wrote the script, anyone who writes down your card# and other info, anyone you choose to disclose this information willingly, and subsequently anyone who they disclose this information to. (It is illegal for mdch to disclose this to anyone without your card # - it is also illegal for health professionals to disclose this without your consent)
