Finding a Doctor

I suffer from rheumatoid arthritis. I am 18 years old and have severe joint pain. I have a a whole binder of medical papers, blood tests, hair tests, etc. I am looking to acquire my medicinal marijuana license. I have been offered opiate based medications many times by my rheumatologist but I do not want to take that. I heard about the 11th State Consultations but I've heard more bad than good. I would really like to know where I could go to.

I searched both sites and couldn't find any doctors.

Uhm, have you tried asking your rhumatologist or your local family doctor? I dont know specifically how it works in the states, but here in Canada, only so many doctors are qualified to be able to prescribe medicinal marijuana licenses to patients. Im sure asking the doctor would get you the best correct information on who you should see.

I used 11th state and know many others who have as well with great service. If you have a valid reason, and you do, it is a breeze. If your doctor is willing to recommend it go with your doc and save some money. I don't have insurance or a doctor but I see a chiropractor regularly for my back problems, chiropractors can't sign here in RI so I needed someone like 11th state

So I'm about to be one year from my card expiring, one month from moving, and one hour from dinner being ready, and I'm thinking: "Won't be long before I'll need to go to the doctor again." I don't have a real primary doctor because I've been healthy and don't take prescriptions or have a need to go to several appointments in the year.

Does anybody on here have a doctor who has been their doctor for a reasonable period of time who, after the law passed, wrote a recommendation? I would like to find a doctor who I can have a relationship with, rather than worrying whether 11th State is gonna be around next fall. It would be nice to have a go-to doctor too as I get older.

Anybody have a long-standing family doctor who opened up to the new law after it passed?

Good question... i recently decided i should go to a normal doctor as i dont use any medication and havent been to one in 8 years or so now. I went to canna care for my patient card just recently cause didnt have medical. Now im insured and need a doctor whos not going to push pills or crap at me.
