Hey guys I decided to try myy hand at growing organic and at making an AACT. I got a little over excited though and I put about four gallons of tap water in a 5 gallon bucket and forgot to let the air stones evaporate the chlorine. Also, my airstones were brand new, and I hooked them up to the pump and tossed them in the water and turned it on. Afterwards I noticed the package said to soak the airstones for an hour before blowing air through them. anyone know why. I don't know for a fact if my water is chlorinated or not, but i normally let it sit for a day or two before watering my plants. The AACT has been bubbling for almost 2 days now and kinda stinks but in a good way. It also has lots of bubbly foam. Will this be safe for my plants? I also only need a gallon for all my plants right now, could I dump the rest on my vegetable garden area to get life going in the dirt. I haven't planted anything out there yet but I figure the soil life can get going right? Would it hurt to let the tea bubble for 3 full days. I know this is a long time but I'll be at work and when I get home lights are out so I have to wait till morning to use it, making it three days in the making.
O yeah, the tea is:
4 gallons tap wat
1 cup earth worm castings
3 tbsp molasses
2 tbsp kelp meal
I dumped everything right into the bucket too, no cheesecloth or sock or anything. Is this okay?
