First autoflower grow, 400hps...

Hey everyone, I thought I would start a journal for my first autoflower grow. This is only my second grow, I currently have 5 bag seed plants going in a CFL cab on day 30 of flower. I was gonna wait till they finished to start the autos but all my stuff showed up so I'm starting now.
Here's the setup, I built a approx.3x3x4 cab. with a 400watt MH/HPS in cooled hood, carbon filter, passive intakes, and a 170 cfm growbright fan for exhaust. It's all been tested, and temps are 80 at canopy level and 68-70 with lights out.
Im starting x2 easyryders, x2 laDivas, x2 afgan kushs. I thought I would try a couple of different seed banks. I will be using all foxfarm products, oceanforest, lightwarrior, and the full 6pc nute. lineup. Probally only use 1/4-1/2 streght on the nutes. Also running lights 20/4.
I started the germing process on March 28th at 11:30am. I will check on the progress tonight. They are wrapped in wet paper towels and put in a blacked out tupperware, then placed on a heat mat. Once they pop I will move them to a propagation dome in root plugs. I will update tonight once I check them, and I'll put up some pics of the setup, ect...

Ill sub! I am currently growing couple Easy ryders under my 400w hps but was started for too long under cfl as didnt have my hps light and there doing nicely and due to finish soon. I have sprouted one LA Woman and my kast Easy Ryder. They look like going to be a great smoke.

Ok, so I checked on the seeds, its been 36hrs and the 2 easyryders have popped and so did the 2 afgans, the 2 ladivas are just cracked open. So I will leave them for another 12 hours and transfer at least the ez and afgan. Ill update in the morning.

Yeah I mean the Easy Ryders for me had 100% germ rate, germed quickly and sprouted quickly when I planted. They seem to make the most of there short life by growing quickly.

Well I checked the seeds this morning after about 48hours the 2 easyryders have 1/4inch tails, the afgan has 1/8inch tails, but the diva only has one tip showing and the other shows no sign. So I went ahead and put them in root blocks and in the dome(on heat pad). I even started another ladiva to double my odds of one of them opening. So I may end up with 7 total if they both sprout. I can't wait to see some green, I'm dying to fire up this 400watter. On a side note, my clf grow is looking decent, they are to crowded for the space, but are growing some frosty buds where they are getting light. I'm thinking about pulling one out (hard to do to a 30day old flower) too make room for the others to grow.

Hello, just a quick update, all 7 seeds have opened. The 2 easyryders already broke the surface!! Those suckers are gonna take off. Really good to have them all germ in 3 days. Another day and ill turn on the light. Sorry no pics yet, but nothing really to see

Yeah I'm gonna turn the light on now, do you think I should leave the dome on alittle longer? I'm nervous about leaving the dome on with the light on because the dome is collecting a lot of water drops.

Ok, update. They have all sproted, and are under the 400 mh. Still in the tray, and actually looking quite tiny. My last grow was bag seed under cfl and they looked alot better than these girls do now. Heat has been a bit of an issue, with unusual high temps here for the time of year, my box is at 79 degrees with the light on, I had to change my exhaust to vent out side insted of in the room. It didnt seem to help much. I might need a bigger cfm fan? Well they have only gotten plain water, mabye I'll add some plant tonic and see if they start to perk up a bit. I think my expectations were a little to high for this grow, but we will see how they do.

Well I'm kinda glad that no one is watching this grow because they are growing like crap. They are about half the size of my last grow at this time and that was swag seed under cfl. I don't know why, I didn't do much different this time, and I'm using 400watt mh now. Mabye they will decide to take off soon, but I hear you can see males as early as 18 days mine probally won't have 3 nodes by then. Fuck it I'm already thinking of my next grow, pineapple express, yum.

Autoflowers are slow starters but they hit a stage normally 3weeks ish and they start taking off. Trust me I had the same worry but will be surprised. I'm watching so any help shout or pm me nd I'll help how I can.

from what I know, autos have a pretty slow growth rate until they sex. And then they take off pretty rapidly. I wouldn't worry about it.

Well I hope so, but these haven't hardly grown since i put them in pots. It will be 2 weeks from seed tomorrow and they only have one real set of little leaves. I will post pic tonight. They look a bit sick, I have only given them water, and I'm using a 50/50 mix of ff oceanforest, and lightwarrior. Mabye the soil is too hot?

actually no. That doesn't sound right. Sounds like they're stunted. not sure why. What size pots are they and how much have you been watering?

Yeh spot on mate, 3 weeks of crap then boom, they explode. At least the easy ryders do at least, no idea about the rest.

that's what I've heard for most auto strains.

Well I hope it's really quick, because I'm not happy with how these look right now for being 2 weeks old.
2 ez in the front, 3 la diva in middle, and 2 afgan in the back. The diva's look the best.

They are on 20/4, I think I might of watered them last time with spt on accident, i intended to only feed water, but I dont think spt would stun them. They germed and sprouted right on time, but since they kinda did nothing all last week, but I have noticed a vast improvement in the last couple of days.
I also had a short light interruption, where I had to turn off the lights for about 5-6 hours during day 8.
