first grow, 1 plant, yelowing om the leaves

As the title say's, this is my first grow, from a feminised seed (ak 47 according to the dude i got the seed from) , the plant i 2 week's old

i'm running 20/24 light, 375 w equiv CFL's -> 1 23w(125eq) 6500k and 2 23w(125eq)2400k.

temp is ranging from 23 - light's off and 26-27 light's on, RH -62%

soil : a mix of poting soil coco sand 6.5 PH

tap water - 6.8 ph

nutes : N-6.5 P-3 K-5.5 + all the other microelement's , using 1/4 strenght , watering 1 time/day in the evening with 150 ml of water.

Problem : about 2 day's ago, the leaves started curling downward and geting yelowish, this process seems to be accelerating day by day ... and i got no clue what's up.

The guy who claimed it was ak47 has no skillz or knowledge of growing? for one stop watering every day and allow the soil to dry so your PH levels dont get fucked by allowing soil to always be wet. and its a bit early to start feeding anyway but since you started it should be cool just stop a schedule of water unless the soil and pot is light dont water. When you do water allow a bit of runoff every 3rd watering or so

btw they dont look bad just allow some dry time and see how they react. They may stand up tall and then some fresh water left out overnight to remove chlorine

the dude i got the seed from ... i met him 2 times in my entire life ) he was a dealer of some sort ....

forgot to ad a few thing's:

i saw some crystal like build up on the soil, i think salt crystals. i just flushed it with about 5l of sterile ph-ed water . usualy from one watering to another, the soil is geting pretty dry on the surface, it's retracting from the wall's, but if i poke my finger in about ~half inch deep, it's still kind og damp.

Update :

After i flushed, the leaves straighten up incredibly fast, they are almost flat now :O still yellow tho ...

i think my PH tester might be screwed, i'l get a new one today and will add some more watt's of light on the side's of the plant.

i hope i wont lose her, in comparison with other grow's i seen she look's pretty big for a 2 week's plant, i wanna get as much as possible out of her. will be careful on my next grow, not to do the same mistakes, event tho for this one i spent allot of time reading and gathering info on how to grow it.

Your plant looks good! My 15 day old's are MUCH shorter, yet far denser. (i.e. very bushy) (CFL's are aprox 1 - 1 1/2 inch above leaves)

I've added more CFL's, now i'm running 625 w equiv in cfl's, added ventilation, added a new PH tester, it looks a bit better but still yellowish, what do you think ? 5 cfl's 23 w each equiv 125 w each and temp is ~25-27 C

bad thing ... it's still geting more yellow ... even tho i flushed it with 6.7 ph, boiled, filtered water , dunno what else to do

Are you letting the pots dry completely before watering again? Scratching the surface is not enough. As super2200 said, only water when the pot is positively dry. Wet roots = stressed roots. Roots that are wet over a long period of time lead to nutrient lockout. Roots need air as much as they need moisture, having them sit in soggy dirt suffocates them. The best test is the 'lift the pot' test to feel how light it is. Pots can go as light as feeling like they are full of polystyrene without plants being hurt, in fact its more beneficial to the plants to do so.

I think it might be the overwatering i did, cuz roots are starting to get out of the soil, all around the plant ... looking for air ?

it has been 2 day's almost since i flushed it but the soil is still wet .... from now on i'm letting it get dry before watering ...

Quick question, what can i use to lower the PH lvl safely ? i ran out of PH down solution and i cant find any more, only found a 4 L container witch was ... 100$ so no thx.

any ideas ? i heard that vinegar is good for that but will it not hurt the plant ?

What is the pH of your water? Usually when you use enough nutrient during the times you are feeding your plants, the nutrient itself is enough to lower the pH to the right levels for soil grows, so that leaves the times when you just feed them water. Lemon juice is ok but it is not a very strong acid. If there is a pool center in your area you might be able to find some pH down there.

I dont think your problem is anything to do with your water although you may have been watering a little too much. What your plant has is a nutrient problem. By the sounds of it, its a Nitrogen defficiency which is quite common as I have experienced. If so than I would reccomend flushing it (which you have already done) zand than giving it a boost of Nitrogen either by an increase in a Nitrogen rich fertalizer or by adding worm castings, bat guano, fish emulshion...ect. There is also a possibility that you have a slight Magnesium defficiency by the look of the curling leaves. For this I would reccomend spraying foliage with a mixture of Epson salt (Magnesium sulphate), two teaspoons per gallon of water.

By the way a good rule of thumb is not too begin fertalizing plants untill at least 2 weeks after sprouting.

I recommend you get some kind of container, fill it with water, and add a fishtank airstone and use a air pump to saturate the water with oxygen instead of having it sit out and stagnate waiting for the chlorine to dissipate. The roots should be happier and you will have a more difficult time overwatering your baby.

My tap water is 7.9 ph ... big high ...

Found a way to lower the ph ... safely i think.

I prewash coco peat with hot water , then i put the flushed coco peat in a container and fill it with tap water . i leave it there for 20-30 mins, and after that i filter it with coffee filters.

the result is a slight brownish 6.7 PH water

After i reduced watering to ~3-4 day's the new leaves are green and lush ... think i'm gonna lose the older ones that got burned. ...

here are a few pic's of the plant, she is 17 day's old, and i also started LST-in .... i hope the right way , you will be the judge of that.

Also , i got 7 bag seeds from something that .... despite it being polenised, the smoke was pretty good, will plant those too

good tip ive learned is to get some carbonated water and mist it onto your leafs ever couple days they'll love you for it!

big thanks on that, i did spray the leaves but with tap ph-ed water . from now on carbonated water it is , thx again

Big thank's to all who helped me in this thread, the plant is looking ALLOT ! better now, the problem was indeed overwatering and a high PH (my tester was screwed) and over nuting .... allot of problems that almost killed my plant.

Thx to you guy's she is healthy, growing, 3 day's into flowering and i'm a happy dude. 5 more seedlings wil join her in about 2 weeks, so everything is good.
