First Grow Attempt (Outdoor)

I'm new to this whole scene, but I've been reading a lot of threads and trying to learn as I go.

This is my first attempt at growing... It all began one night when a friend and I were pretty baked. The idea was to get some clones, dig a few holes in the woods behind my house, plant the clones in the native soil and see what happens.

Well it didnt take much reading to come to the conclusion that this probably wouldnt be the field of dreams that a friend of mine and I were hoping for. So... I did a lot of searching and invested a little more than originally planned and now I'm about a month into my first grow.

I have six plants growing in the ground with some relatively cheap potting soil from the hardware store (ha ha) and I'm currently using a grow fertilizer from Age Old Organics. Three of the girls are Purple Kush, two are Super Silver Haze, and the last one is GDP. Let me know what you think :eyesmoke:

The pictures are obviously from various stages... That's just what I had on my phone because I wasn't planning on making a journal originally. I'll start taking better pics with my digital camera and posting those in the future

funny how our secret gardens look kinda similar haha
good lookin though. july's definitely gonna be a power month and they'll at least double or triple in size by the end. I'm high as shit and subscribed bongsmilie

So... I dont know if anybody but Notorious B is interested in this ha ha, but I went out and watered today and took a few pics. Nothing too crazy to report... Still looking pretty good. The jug in the pictures is for size comparison and is a 5 gallon guy. The little Super Silver is finally starting to grow. I could be wrong, but it seems as though the clones I got were all of different age because some began to grow much faster than others. I also fed them today per my usual once a week schedule. In one of the pics the leaves on the Grandaddy Purp plant look a little messed up, but thats just the light because I had to go out after work today...:weed:

lookin nice man. they're starting to plump up nicely. they must get a lot of sun all day, perfecto :weed:
how much that coleman container run you?

Yeah they do get sun ALL day. Ha ha. Main reason I chose the spot! That container cost $14 and change. My "friend" bought one also at the hardware store near Mc Donanlds. So we have a total of 10 gallons of water between the two. Don't give up on your spot my man, that would be wack

those containers look like they'd be a lot easier to handle with all the weight balanced at the bottom compared to mine with the handle on the side. oh well though. but definitely not giving up. waay too much work to be giving up now. just cant wait till august or october!!!!! :leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:

No worries mate, we are all inexperienced, even the so called masters will tell you they have lots to learn. You have a wonderful tool though so make sure you use it. I have noticed lots of people here are really willing to help if you do your homework first and read the basics. I am only on my second grow, but I feel more confident that I did during my first grow. It all comes with practice. Goodluck to you, and feel free to check out my journal... peace bro

I went out and watered today, so I figured it was time for another update. I took a bunch of pictures to show everyone how the girls were lookin' on this fine July morning. Being the lucky guy that I am, I went out alone today and had to haul both of my 5 gallon jugs up the hill. :wall: Normally I would only do one, but I was planning on working out of town all next week and I didnt want to make my friend lug the water around when they arent even his plants. When I returned to my car I saw I had a voicemail, shortly thereafter I was informed that I wouldnt be out of town all week and therefore would not be needing assistance in watering my garden :finger: Not exactly the best start to the day, but seeing the plants always brings a smile to my face and next time I go out I wont have to haul any water because it will already be up there  Anyway, as far as I'm concerened the girls are looking great. The big Super Silver (my favorite one) is starting to get a little more bushy. The 3 Purple Kush are beginning to do so as well. The baby Super Silver has grown significantly over the last week or so so she ought to be catching up to the others in no time. The GDP is getting it's bush on as well. Gotta love it :weed:
