So I was using a flimsy cardboard box for the past 2 days for my first grow and i really wasnt liking the box and everything and decided to grow a better grow box, here is what I came up with. The light thing on the top is from one of those flexible wire lamps, I stripped the top piece off and removed the on/off switch because it was broken, it was just an old lamp I had swimming around. the pole on the top is just for added air, and the holes on the sides of the bin that look like handles are for two computer fans which I will be installing when I get my hands on them.

I have a sponge cup in there for moisture, and a separate piece of foil paper with paper towel to germinate a couple of seeds I have laying around

Does anyone know how I can power 2 computer fans?

And what do you guys think? :-|

How long r u keeping ur babies in their??? Height may be an issue honestly. But great ingenuity! I used one similar to yours but I turned it vertical.

Computer fans can be powered with an old cell phone charger. Just splice the wires, I've run 2 fans off one before and I bet you could do more.

height will be an issue going to have to lst and top them. Secondly they are still stretching. thirdly u have 2 plants in one container and that is not a good idea. Finally u need to add fans to get air moving in and out.

The container with 2 plants was actually one seed which started growing like that, not sure what's up. I dropped the lights much lower and the stems are getting some light, I also added some extra dirt into the cups to lower the height of the stem which worked out nicely. Installed computer fan on one of the holes which is sucking air out

I was planning on getting a second bin and cutting the bottom out and stacking it to increase height on the current box once the plants outgrow it in about a week and a half or so I estimiate, or if I find a taller bin all together I can just buy that and use the same top im using now + recut the holes on the side for the air intake/outtake.

@ghettorigger good looks on the tip about the phone charger, worked like a charm! Currently have the fan only taking air out of the box, with a fan blowing slight air through the other end, so it's pretty well ventilated atm. Once I get the new box or make the current one bigger I'll try to figure out a cheap way to get a carbon filter hooked up onto it for the odor, I will def. keep this thread updated along with the other ones.

Thanks for the replies guys, it's motivating
