First grow Closet/CFL

Hey Guys, This is my first grow, my other journal was all messed up, so this is the same grow, but a different journal. Im using cfl lighting for my first grow and it is in my closet. I have 6 27w(100w equivalent) daylight bulbs. These are unknown bagseeds that i got a couple weeks ago. I also got 10 nirvana norther lights and 10 nirvana master kush seeds from dr.chronic so ill be growing those in this journal too once they get here. They should be here within 1 or 2 weeks. looks like a good little set up that mate, iv personly only grown under bigger lights so will be intresting to see what can be achived with those lights :)

yeah i have the same problem 3 months of the year but the rest the years its the oppersit problem when the lights go off gets really cold , im gunna down size my lights at some point save the big lec bills , your nivanan northan lights are a good strain , thats some powerfull stuff right there

Alrite, quick update. It is day 9 and i just transplanted my plants. They where in just regular dirt that i got from outside, But i just put them into Fox Farms Ocean Forest that i got for $6 at my local hydro store. I also got some vegging nutrient that the guy at the hydro store recommended.

Alrite, Its day 10. Got some great overnight growth and my seeds from Dr.chronic came early. I got the 10 Nirvana Northern Lights and 10 Nirvana Master Kush and I put 2 of each into germination a couple hours ago. I was thinking of putting these 2 bagseed plants outside for the rest of the grow, and grow the nirvana seeds in the closet, since there isn't enough light for 6 plants. I'm going to be getting more daylight bulbs soon, so there should be enough light to grow the 4 plants that are germinating. I also bought some more Fox Farm Ocean Forest, and some jiffy pellets in a humidity dome, i was wondering if i should put them in the pellet after they germinate, or just go straight to soil? I have Rockwool cubes too, so which would be better after germination, Ocean Forest soil, Jiffy Pellets, or Rockwool Cubes? Thanks.

Nirvana seeds came, so those are going to be in this journal too.

i'm in! ... growing closet with CFL myself .... Green o'matic... (next grow nirvana N-lights/Blue mystic Autos).... so i'll be all over this thread like a bag of fleas :-)

check my thread... i went germ, to light seeding soil in 3" pot.... then a week later (or so) into 11ltr pot with light mix.... first time i've done it this way and i'm blown away by the results so far.

hahaha your like me ... i got beans and i want to grow the whole lot right now!

Im just going to grow 2 northern lights and 2 master kush seed, and saving the rest if i need them. Im hoping to get mother's from these first seeds so i can clone instead of using the rest of my seeds.

yeah fella can't fault ya! :-) .... you seem to know your stuff for a first time grower so you'll probs smash it! ... i'm in for the ride

Update Day 11. Another great night of growth, I decided to keep my bagseed plants inside. So I will have 6 plants growing in there, I am also going to be getting a 250w MH/HPS light at the end of this month so there will be enough light for them. 1 of the Master Kush seeds already germ'd so its in the soil now, the rest are still germinating. Here are some pics for you guys. What do you think?

Alrite, I have a question about nutrients. If i purchase Fox Farm's Grow Big for soil, would that be the only nutrient that I would need to give my plants for vegging? Also, about how many weeks into growing should I start giving my plants nutrients? Thanks:)

I dont use fox farms but i would guess they have a nute for veg and a nute or nutes for flowering, as well as other things like calcium Mg and such. if its a nute with a higher number for N its probably for veg

Day 12, I had to put plant #2 outside because my Northern Lights and Master Kush seeds germinated. Im keeping Plant #1 inside though and will be getting a bigger light for them at the end of the month:) Here are some pics.

The Germ'd seeds are in their pots, I have a heat pad under them and plastic wrap covering the pots to keep the humidity high. Hopefully I'll see some sprouts in a couple days.
